The ongoing war in Ukraine has had a serious impact on the healthcare sector, resulting in the disruption of essential primary healthcare services for frontline communities.
According to the World Health Organization, more than 1,400 healthcare facilities have been attacked since the outbreak of war and the number is rapidly increasing.
The use of technology can significantly accelerate the recovery of the healthcare sector.

Technologies such as 3D printing of prosthetics, VR for rehabilitation of people with PTSD, or mobile and modular clinics will make care accessible, flexible, and affordable. This is particularly important for internally displaced persons, as the destruction of healthcare infrastructure has made it difficult for them to access preventive care and treatment for chronic diseases.
